Heute eine Mail von Radioheads Plattenfirma, an die Adresse die ich angeben musste als ich für 8 Pfund den Radiohead download gekauft habe, in der festen überzeugung, dass das das wirkliche Album ist, und nicht ein Preview eines später erscheinenden Kaufalbums mit 4 weiteren Songs drauf

To celebrate this week’s single release (we still have those in England) Radiohead have broken up the song ‘Nude’ into pieces for you to remix.

For those of you who enjoy this sort of thing, you can buy the separate components or ’stems’ (bass, voice, guitar, strings/FX and drums) and remix your own version of the song. But really — charging for the “privilege” to remix a song. Charging FIVE TIMES the cost of the complete song to get a separate copy that you can remix FOR the record label (read the fine print — the label owns anything and everything that you come up with).

Wow.

    na ja, goldenen nase werden sie sich damit nicht verdienen, aber sicher einiges an aufmerksamkeit ziehen. mir wären die paar euros wert, um mit den spuren von radiohead zu spielen. so fern ich weiss, ist die erwähnte copyright-regelung üblich, wenn es um online remixe geht – war beim wir sind helden remix contest auch so (allerdings bekamm ma da die tracks auch umsonst:).
